Our client is a premier Health & Safety Consultancy with over 30 years of expertise in the construction sector, specialising in fast-track retail refurbishments and a wide range of construction-related projects. Providing bespoke, professional, and practical safety solutions, they pride themselves on their flexibility, dynamic service, and a strategic network of field-based staff that ensures comprehensive nationwide coverage.

We are seeking dedicated a Health and Safety Consultant for a full-time hybrid role covering the Bristol, South Wales and North Gloucester region. This role demands candidates with a solid background in construction health and safety, preferably with Principal Designer experience.  A clean driving licence and willingness to travel is essential.

The Role

​

  • Ensure health and safety compliance across diverse construction sites.

  • Represent clients as the safety authority in meetings and, where needed, act as Principal Designer.

  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and accident investigations.

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies.

  • Utilise excellent communication skills for report writing, phone, and in-person interactions.

About You

​

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Health and Safety role

  • Tech IOSH certified

  • A solid construction background.

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NEBOSH Certificate in Construction 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, particularly CDM 2015.

  • Strong IT skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional night stays.

  • Proven skills in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Accident Investigation, and Safety Training.
