Location: Grantham

 

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 plus company car

This company, with a long-standing history of excellence, is searching for a talented Health and Safety Manager to join their team and contribute to their next chapter of success.

Key Responsibilities:

As Health and Safety Manager, you will:

  • Manage health and safety operations across the business.

  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, industry standards.

  • Carrying out site audits and inspections and provide reports on H&S performance.

  • Review and manage Construction Phase Plans and Risk Assessments and Method Statements 

  • Attend internal and client's safety meetings and communicate and implement any actions from the meeting.

  • Offer advice, guidance and coaching on all H&S matters to project staff, including direct employees, sub-contractors, supply chain and the client as required.

  • Undertaking incident and accident investigations as required.

  • Engage with the site staff, educating them in regards to HSE policy and company programmes.

  • Support and maintain the companies accredited Health and Safety, Quality and Environment management systems.

  • Conduct Toolbox talks.
     

Ideal Candidate Profile:
 

  • Formal H&S qualification e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent

  • CertIOSH

  • Minimum of 3 years’ H&S experience gained in construction / M&E / building services

  • Experience working on commercial projects such as fit-outs, retail, industrial

  • Strong knowledge of current legislation

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Driving licence
