TCRecruit is working exclusively with a leading provider of facilities management services across the UK and Ireland in their search for 2 x Bristol based SHE Advisors and 1 x East Midlands based SHE Advisor to join their team. This family-run company specialises in the delivery of construction, civil engineering, interior fit-out, and facilities management for properties such as prisons, social housing, schools and health care.

The SHE Advisors will come from a construction or FM Services background and will be required to carry out on site auditing of teams across all contracts and provide the appropriate guidance and support and must be able to obtain the relevant security clearance. 

​About You

The Role

​

  • Provide expert guidance on Safety, Health & Environmental matters to both management and staff.

  • Conduct on-site audits in relation to Safety, Health & Environmental compliance as well as behavioural and cultural aspects.

  • Investigate accidents/incidents and near misses.

  • Assist in delivering relevant training courses aligned with company H&S training matrices.

  • Act as a designated individual for temporary works.

  • Deliver induction programs, new starter training, toolbox talks, and briefings as needed.

  • Review and approve subcontractor questionnaires, including existing procedures and forms.

  • Assist in preparing and updating construction phase plans, method statements, and risk assessments.

  • Contribute to the preparation and updating of environmental management plans.

  • Prepare legislation updates.

  • Attendance at client SHE meetings.

 

About You

​

  • Minimum of 2 years’ H&S experience gained in construction or facilities management industry 

  • A recognised health and safety qualification 

  • Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation and relevant Environmental legislation

  • Good understanding of construction processes

  • CSCS / CSR / Safepass card

  • Knowledge of Temporary Works

  • Have Security Clearance or be able to achieve the same.

  • Professional and have strong communication, numeracy and literacy skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Full driving licence and be able to travel to sites nationwide.
